Matthew 15: 21-28

  • 21 ) Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.

  • 22 ) And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, you son of David, my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

  • 23 ) But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away, for she cries after us.

  • 24 ) But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

  • 25 ) Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

  • 26 ) But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

  • 27 ) And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

  • 28 ) Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is your faith: be it unto you even as you will. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

  • 21 ) യേശു അവിടം വിട്ടു, സോർ സീദോൻ എന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലേക്കു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

  • 22 ) ആ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഒരു കനാന്യസ്ത്രീ വന്നു, അവനോടു: കർത്താവേ, ദാവീദ്പുത്രാ, എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ, എന്റെ മകൾക്കു ഭൂതോപദ്രവം കഠിനമായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

  • 23 ) അവൻ അവളോടു ഒരു വാക്കും ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞില്ല, അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അടുക്കെ, വന്നു: അവൾ നമ്മുടെ പിന്നാലെ നിലവിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു വരുന്നു, അവളെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കേണമേ എന്നു അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

  • 24 ) അതിന്നു അവൻ: “യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹത്തിലെ കാണാതെപോയ ആടുകളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കല്ലാതെ എന്നെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

  • 25 ) എന്നാൽ അവൾ വന്നു: കർത്താവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

  • 26 ) അവനോ: “മക്കളുടെ അപ്പം എടുത്തു നായകൂട്ടികൾക്കു ഇട്ടുകൊടുക്കുന്നതു നന്നല്ല” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

  • 27 ) അതിന്നു അവൾ: അതേ, കർത്താവേ, നായക്കുട്ടികളും ഉടയവരുടെ മേശയിൽ നിന്നു വീഴുന്ന നുറുക്കുകൾ തിന്നുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

  • 28 ) യേശു അവളോടു: “സ്ത്രീയേ, നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം വലിയതു, നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ നിനക്കു ഭവിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. ആ നാഴികമുതൽ അവളുടെ മകൾക്കു സൌഖ്യം വന്നു.
