John 8: 31-36

  • 31 ) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If all of you continue in my word, then are all of you my disciples indeed,

  • 32 ) And all of you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

  • 33 ) They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how says you, All of you shall be made free?

  • 34 ) Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.

  • 35 ) And the servant abides not in the house for ever: but the Son abides ever.

  • 36 ) If the Son therefore shall make you free, all of you shall be free indeed.

  • 31 ) തന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ച യെഹൂദന്മാരോടു യേശു: “എന്റെ വചനത്തിൽ നിലനില്ക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ വാസ്തവമായി എന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരായി,

  • 32 ) സത്യം അറികയും സത്യം നിങ്ങളെ സ്വതന്ത്രന്മാരാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

  • 33 ) അവർ അവനോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ സന്തതി, ആർക്കും ഒരുനാളും ദാസന്മാരായിരുന്നിട്ടില്ല, നിങ്ങൾ സ്വതന്ത്രന്മാർ ആകും എന്നു നീ പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

  • 34 ) അതിന്നു യേശു: “ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: പാപം ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം പാപത്തിന്റെ ദാസൻ ആകുന്നു.

  • 35 ) ദാസൻ എന്നേക്കും വീട്ടിൽ വസിക്കുന്നില്ല, പുത്രനോ എന്നേക്കും വസിക്കുന്നു.

  • 36 ) പുത്രൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം വരുത്തിയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷാൽ സ്വതന്ത്രർ ആകും.
