Matthew 4: 17-22

  • 17 ) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

  • 18 ) And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

  • 19 ) And he says unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

  • 20 ) And they immediately left their nets, and followed him.

  • 21 ) And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them.

  • 22 ) And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

Matthew 4: 17-22

  • 17 ) അന്നുമുതൽ യേശു: “സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം സമീപിച്ചിരിക്കയാൽ മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടുവിൻ”എന്നു പ്രസംഗിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.

  • 18 ) അവൻ ഗലീലക്കടല്പുറത്തു നടക്കുമ്പോൾ പത്രൊസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ള ശിമോൻ, അവന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അന്ത്രെയാസ് എന്നിങ്ങനെ മീൻപിടിക്കാരായ രണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാർ കടലിൽ വല വീശുന്നതു കണ്ടു:

  • 19 ) “എന്റെ പിന്നാലെ വരുവിൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ മനുഷ്യരെ പിടിക്കുന്നവരാക്കും” എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

  • 20 ) ഉടനെ അവർ വല വിട്ടേച്ചു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.

  • 21 ) അവിടെ നിന്നു മുമ്പോട്ടു പോയാറെ സെബെദിയുടെ മകൻ യാക്കോബും അവന്റെ സഹോദരൻ യോഹന്നാനും എന്ന വേറെ രണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാർ പടകിൽ ഇരുന്നു അപ്പനായ സെബദിയുമായി വല നന്നാക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു അവരെയും വിളിച്ചു.

  • 22 ) അവരും ഉടനെ പടകിനെയും അപ്പനെയും വിട്ടു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.
